Our Story
Owner, Rebecca, after qualifying from Leith's School of Food and Wine took over The Shepherd & Dog in October 2019 with her daughter; sharing a dream to restore the pub to its former glory. After four stressful weeks of refurbishments, the pub re-opened its doors as a Great British gastro-pub; offering cosy furnishings, classic cuisine and a one-of-the-family feeling. Subsequently the pub became busier and busier, until Covid-19 gave the business a harsh blow. However, the team were more than excited to return to their beloved pub to continue doing what they do best! The Shepherd prides itself on its outstanding level of service, paired with a menu that aims to have something for everyone, allowing for a truly extraordinary eating experience for all the family.
